Written as a reflection on Lubany’s Palestinian roots, the new single is imbued with a sense of raw grief over the recent attack on Gaza.

In this gut-wrenching melody, she shares a message with her fans, bringing us on a voyage through the emotions of grief, through the process of withdrawing and isolating herself but also trying to heal. In its purest form, her angelic voice, supported by guitar, helps us sense the pain and regrets of missed goodbyes.

Her lyrics couldn't be presented more clearly:

I am angry, I am weak

Some things aren't yours to keep

Like a moment on your cheek

Wish I could kiss you better

Voices blowin' in the breeze

So much more than I'm perceived

Now it's gettin' hard to breathe

Wish I could make it better

And finishing with

The sky’s so clear

I see an airplane, and I don't feel fear

I feel so lucky I am here (Mm, mm-hmm)

And everything's happening at once, which is what makes it harder

They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

But I don't feel strong right now

So I'll just go to sleep

The release was accompanied by a visualiser, which reminisces on carefree childhood moments and celebrates being part of a rich, family-centred culture.

For everyone who understands loss, for those who know the feeling of having everything ripped from under you, Make it Better, can help us start healing those open wounds.

It has been recently announced that Lubany will be joining The Last Dinner Party in their sold out European tour starting this February.
